Lacoste is a fashion company that was founded by the French tennis player Renee Lacoste way back in 1933 in France. Lacoste first started manufacturing plain white tennis shirts and they are said to have been the first clothes company to clearly display their logo on the outside of their clothes. Soon they began manufacturing coloured shirts and then they moved into manufacturing sports clothing for other sports such as golf and sailing.

By the 1950' the Lacoste range of sportwear fast became the choice of the American upper classes and since then they have launched many more lines of sports clothing as well as other products under the Lacoste label such as sunglasses, perfume, shoes and Lacoste watches and now the Lacoste logo, the green crocodile must be one of the most well known fashion logos in the world and is the mark of reputation and quality.

It was not until the 1980's that Lacoste first branched out into manufacturing Lacoste watches, but since then they have released many ranges of mens watches and ladies watches which have been constantly kept up to date in line with the current fashion trends.
